The education program will include both short- and long-term educational outreach to coming generations to preserve the musical forms of the era and to inspire the sheer joy of picking up a guitar or banjo and singing. In each city where the Kingston Trio Traveling Exhibit will be hosted, educational outreach will include school field trips, teacher workshops, high school/ post secondary folk music performances, and more. The museum will offer several teacher workshops for music educators providing them with historical arrangements and teaching materials. School bands and orchestras will discover the value of including the music in their performances. Presentations will include information about the social, cultural, and historical context within which the music was developed and performed. It will present the value and beauty of singing harmony.
